Riskworks is an independent Insurance and Risk Management company based in Wilmslow, Cheshire providing a range of insurance and risk management services to companies irrespective of size. We also specialise in providing advice and portfolio insurance solutions for private clients.
In 2011 we were appointed as a Marsh ProBroker. Marsh, who are the world’s most successful Broker devised a business strategy and set up a separate company providing support and technical resources to companies such as ours which will help us improve and maintain our standards. Through this partnership we have access to a complete package of resources including management training, people development and access to key insurance markets where Marsh have negotiated specialist wordings and competitive premium terms.
This has given us an added dimension to the services we can offer our clients. We are proud to remain independent and running our business through the employment of young, dynamic and technically capable people. Our partnership with Marsh makes us very flexible and gives a personal service to our clients irrespective of size and wherever they are.
We hope that the message from our website is clear. We want to make sure that we give our clients the widest possible service and expertise available.
We are passionate about supporting our clients … we are proactive in advising our clients on their insurance and risk management requirements. We want to work in partnership with companies to fully understand their business operations making us better equipped to identify the potential risk issues.
We have designed a Business Impact Analysis exercise which enables us to:
We take full control in the event of a claim:
We do not sub contract this to anybody else.
We negotiate the claim and keep our client advised at all times.
All this makes us different.
TEAM AND COMPANY HISTORY
Nicholas Gray with fellow Director, Stuart Chandler, formed insurance brokers, Riskworks in 2007. Nick is the third generation of Grays’ in the insurance broking business. Both his grandfather, John Gray and father, Sydney Gray, were members of North West Brokers, William Heap & Son, established in 1878 before being acquired by Sedgwick in the 1970s.
William Heap was highly respected by both the insurance world and clients, because of their professionalism, technical expertise and risk management services, which were very important in those days, as they are today. The client make up was made up of textiles, engineering, paper and printing, bleaching and dyeing rather different landscape to the digital and high tech world today
Nick joined the UL board of Sedgwick before moving to take up senior and leadership positions with other interanational brokers, finally joining Marsh .
The creation of Riskworks realised Nick’s desire to form a really creative and prestigious broking company based very much on the William Heap culture.
With their international experience, Riskworks are able to provide the benefits of such expertise to all companies irrespective of size.
Matthew Gray, the fourth generation, has now joined Riskworks to maintain and continue that broking tradition. Whilst the insurance industry over the years has changed dramatically with the number of Insurers dramatically reduced, the need for the right advice has never been more important.
Riskworks, in 2014 formed a partnership with Marsh, which has enabled them to demonstrate not only personal and individual service but strength of having the world’s largest insurance broker behind them.
